Mass Diallo is a Senegalese dancer who has made a name for himself in his home country and abroad. He started his career at the Centre Culturel Blaise Senghor in Senegal’s capital Dakar, where he trained to become a traditional African dancer. In recent years Mass has performed with the well-known Senegalese dance group Waato Siita, traveling the world to showcase the African dance tradition. He is currently based in Europe, where he has made it his mission to share this tradition with others.

Mass is a curious artist, always looking to fully master the many dance traditions that the African continent is rich in. His trademark is the very energetic and vibrant Senegalese dance style Sabar, which he mastered as a young child dancing in the streets of Dakar. Mass is also a virtuoso performer of Djembé, another Senegalese dans style and is trained in many more African dances such as Djola, Serrere, Manding, Toucouleur, Peulh, Zoulou and African modern dance. He has performed at well-known Senegalese festivals such as FESMAN, Kaay Fecc, alongside all the famous artists of Senegal, including Youssou N’dour, Doudou N’diaye Rose, Baaba Maal, Coumba Gawlo and Waly Seck and many others.

Mass currently teaches dance workshops and performs all around Europe. He is celebrated for his thoughtful approach to teaching and his characteristic dancing style, making him a very special African performer and teacher.
